Bari Rothfeld, a licensed clinical social worker and certified alcohol and other drug counselor is a passionate and enthusiastic therapist in Chicago who specializes in the treatment of adults who are struggling with addictions (chemical and behavioral), eating disorders (binge eating disorder and compulsive overeating), anxiety, OCD, depression, trauma, self injury, body image concerns, relationship issues, and general life stressors.
Bari’s therapeutic work is informed by evidence-based best practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Exposure Response Prevention Therapy (ERP).
Bari looks forward to helping you build awareness and learn more effective patterns of behavior allowing for a life that feels in line with your identified values. She tailors her practice to meet the unique needs of each client, while appropriately utilizing humor and authenticity to humanize the vulnerable experience of therapy.
Bari received her MSW from Loyola University Chicago and now holds an LCSW and CADC. She has worked with various client populations as a result of her experience at Alexian Brothers Behavioral Health Hospital and Eating Recovery Center, where she worked in both clinical and managerial roles.
Additionally, Bari provides formal addictions assessments. This service is for clients of Cityscape whom require further assessment to determine whether you meet criteria for an addiction diagnosis and whether or not you require more intensive treatment and or support beyond outpatient therapy.
While her office is located in downtown Chicago, off Michigan and Randolph, she welcomes and serves clients in the surrounding Chicagoland areas!
