She creates a safe, supportive, and trusting space for her clients. Her approach is client-centered as clients are the experts of their own lives. Through a strengths-based, solution-focused, and ecological lens, Jaclyn draws on multiple treatment modalities to guide clients and their respective systems in identifying strengths and developing treatment plans that aim to meet their goals. Jaclyn practices from a Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Motivational Interviewing (MI) lens to assist clients in living full and meaningful lives.
Jaclyn received her BSW and MSW from Loyola University Chicago with a dual specialty in clinical mental health and addictions counseling. She now holds her LCSW and CADC. She specializes in serving adults, children, adolescents, and their families as a result of her experience at various levels of care where she worked in clinical care manager and therapist roles at Niles Family Services, Hazelden Betty Ford, and Shirley Ryan Ability Lab Inpatient Rehabilitation.
A note from Jaclyn:
I became a therapist because I have always been passionate about pursuing a helping profession-one that nurtures growth and instills hope. I find it to be an honor and a privilege to play a part in the stories of my clients. I cannot imagine a more meaningful and rewarding career, one that is designed merely to decrease suffering and improve quality of life. I cherish those moments where I witness hope in the eyes of a client, recognition of his or her own greatness, or share a long-deserted laugh. I wake up feeling grateful each and every day for my clients and to get to do this type of work for a living. In my free time I enjoy reading, “Pelotoning”, traveling, and spending time with my friends, family, and the absolute light of my life: my French Bulldog, Stanley!
While her office is located in downtown Chicago next to Millenium park for in-person sessions, she also welcomes and serves clients for online therapy from anywhere in Illinois. Clients from the Chicagoland area may choose in-office or online therapy and usually commute from surrounding areas such as River North, South Loop, West Loop, Gold Coast, Old Town, Lincoln Park, Lake View, Logan Square, Wicker Park, Bucktown and many more.
