Nicole Bentley, a licensed clinical social worker, is an empathic and personable therapist in Chicago who specializes in the treatment of adults and couples who are struggling with eating disorders, body image issues, anxiety, OCD, depression, trauma, addictions, relationship issues and general life stressors.
Nicole’s therapeutic work and counseling in Chicago is informed by mindfulness-based approaches such as Dialectal Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP). Nicole is very collaborative in session and enjoys helping her clients create a life of meaning and purpose that they would want to be present in.
Nicole holds a Master’s Degree in Clinical Social Work. She completed both her degree and clinical internship at the University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign’s Counseling Center. Following her internship and prior to pursuing private practice, Nicole also worked at Insight Behavioral Health Center/Eating Recovery Center of Chicago in the Partial Hospitalization Program where she successfully treated adults with eating disorders, anxiety, depression, OCD, self-injury & trauma.
While her office is located in downtown Chicago, she welcomes and serves clients in the surrounding areas such as River North, Lincoln Park, Lake View, Logan Square, Wicker Park, and Bucktown.
